SHAKE RATTLE AND ROLL
No.10 Lubbock Christian University wraps up the week's worth of Lone Star Conference play Saturday hosting St. Mary's inside Rip Griffin Center. LCU enters the contest tied for fifth in the LSC, with a trio of programs unbeaten in LSC play ahead of them.

CHAP NOTES
  • > Allie Schulte, who actively ranks for playing in the second-most games in NCAA Division II (141 games played in her career), leads the squad in scoring with an average of 11.8 points per game. She also leads the team is assists (59) and steals (56). Her 59 assists ranks fourth in the conference, with a pace of 3.3 per game (13th in the LSC), and her 56 steals leads the nation. She has 27 steals in conference play (has her with 4.5 steals per conference game), with a career-high eight steals on Jan. 2 at Texas A&M International. The 56 steals also has her with 285 career steals, which is the second active leading mark in career steals in NCAA Division II (second highest mark in program history).
  • > Ashton Duncan leads LCU with 44 three-pointers, averaging 2.44 per game (fourth in the conference). The 44 three-pointers ranks 12th in the nation and leads the LSC (Morgan McMillen of Walsh leads the nation with 58). Duncan, who surpassed 900 career points Saturday at UT Tyler, is second on the team averaging 10.7 points per game. She is five three-pointers away from her 235th three-pointer, which will place her third in program history and passing Sierra Lovorn (Wilcox), who had 234 three-pointers from 2005-2009. Duncan's 230 career three-pointers ranks 15th actively in NCAA Division II for career three-pointers.
  • > The Lady Chaps have claimed the Lone Star Conference Defensive Player of the Week honor in four of the eight weeks the award has been issued. Allie Schulte has received the honor twice, with teammates Grace Foster and Juliana Robertson also receiving the award. Overall for Offensive and Defensive, LCU has claimed five of the 16 honors the LSC has issued this season (four defensive and one offensive).
  • > Laynee Burr, who has two performances of at least 18 points this season, is averaging 8.3 points per game. A member of the DII CCA Tip-Off Classic at the Trailhead All-Tournament Team selection, Burr enters Saturday's play 14th in the conference in assists with 45 on the season.
  • > LCU opened the season making their first 14 free-throw attempts and are 78.2% (208/266) from the free-throw line, which ranks 19th nationally. From their game against Tampa (Nov. 7) to their game at Colorado Christian (Nov.12), in which they made 13 consecutive free-throws to start the game, LCU made a sequence of 17 consecutive free-throws. They topped that mark in their opening home stand of the season, making 43 consecutive free-throws (They made 28 straight free-throws in their game against Lander as part of the sequence). Schulte, who is 23-of-23 on the season from the line in the fourth quarter of games, is 50-of-56 (89.3%) from the free-throw line on the season, which is 16th nationally.
  • > Grace Foster and Juliana Robertson have provided LCU strong defensive play inside the perimeter. Robertson ranks fourth in the LSC in rebounds (131) and third in defensive rebounds per game (5.9). Robertson is coming off Thursday's game against St. Edward's in which she had matched career highs in blocks (4) and steals (4). She posted a career-high 18-rebound performance Saturday in Tyler. Robertson's 18 rebounds were the most by a Lady Chaps member since Kellyn Schneider posted 18 rebounds on the exact date in 2015 against Rogers State. The rebound performance shared by Robertson and Schneider are the highest rebound marks by a Lady Chap since Candace Clenney had 19 against Science & Arts of Oklahoma on Feb. 23, 2006. Her rebounding efforts not only led to LCU's highest rebound margin of the season (14, with a team advantage of 39-25), but the Lady Chaps defense held UT Tyler, the nation's eighth-best shooting team, to a season-low 28.0% shooting effort. On the week, last week, Robertson averaged a double-double with 12.0 rebounds and 10.0 points per game. Foster, who had her first collegiate double-double (20 points and 11 rebounds) and career-high six blocks last Thursday at Texas A&M-Commerce, leads LCU in blocks (17, sixth in the LSC), with Robertson ranking second with 15 blocks (eighth in the LSC). Foster has been LCU's leading scorer in four of their last eight games and is averaging 8.4 points a game in conference play (tied for second on the team with Channing Cunyus).
  • > LCU is ninth nationally in turnovers…or lack thereof, as they average 12.3 per game. The stat has Allie Schulte second in the LSC in assist/turnover ratio at 2.11. As a team, LCU ranks 32nd nationally and leading the LSC for team assist/turnover ratio (1.06).
