Box Score SAN ANTONIO, Texas - In their second straight scoreless draw of the season, Lubbock Christian earned enough points in the conference standings to clinch a home match for the Lone Star Conference tournament, with a 0-0 tie against St. Mary's.

The Rattlers (11-3-4, 5-3-4 LSC) came out firing, with three shots in the first seven minutes just going wide of the net. The Lady Chaps (8-2-8, 5-2-5 LSC) answered in kind, with two shots of their own off target by Lexi De La Cruz and Celia Duarte. 

Both teams stayed relatively quiet for the rest of the first half, with Graycen Rasmussen recording a shot on goal in the 37th minute that was just saved by Rebecca Difronzo, and the teams went into the break scoreless.

In the 53rd minute, Syndey Varela recorded a shot for the Rattlers that went wide. Neither team would record another shot for another 20 minutes, with another attempt by the Rattlers going wide. 

The Rattlers got the best chance of the second half for either side in the 78th minute, but it was saved by Abby Kone.

Rasmussen and Arely Jimenez got two shot attempts in the 80th and 85th minute for the Lady Chaps, but both went wide and the match ended in a scoreless draw. 

Abby Kone records her eighth shutout of the season, tied for third most in the conference with Difronzo for the season. That mark is also tied for third most in school history for a career and third most in a season for a Lady Chap goalkeeper.

With the draw, Lubbock Christian finishes the regular season with 20 conference points, one more than the Rattlers, meaning LCU will host St. Mary's once again on Tuesday, Nov. 1. Tickets and the game time will be announced later this evening.

For tickets, only LCU students with a valid student I.D. will get into the match for free per conference policy. No passes for faculty or Chap passes will not be honored at the gate.
