Anna Salisbury was named the Lone Star Conference Indoor Track Athlete of the Week, the league announced on Wednesday.

The Leander, Texas, native had a big day at the New Mexico Classic, setting a new school record in the 400-meter and earning an NCAA provisional mark while placing third in the 200-meter. Her provisional mark came in the 400-meter, where she posted a time of 55.66 (converted for altitude). It is the fastest time in the LSC this year and the seventh-fastest mark in the nation. In addition, she took third in the 200-meter with a new PR of 24.94s.

Salisbury has improved her time in both events at every meet she has competed at this season. She and the rest of the LCU track & field teams will compete in two more regular season meets leading into the Lone Star Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships Feb. 25-27.
