GLEN ROSE, Texas (April 22, 2022) – The Lubbock Christian women's golf team wrapped up the 2021-22 season on Friday, carding a 316 in the final round of the Lone Star Conference Championships to tie for 12
th place.
The Lady Chaps tied with UT Permian Basin in the 12
th-place spot, with both teams shooting 939s for the tournament. LCU's score is their best-three round performance of the season. They shot one stroke better than the Falcons in the final round to move up into 12
th.
Lilly Griffin led the charge on the final day for Lubbock Christian and carded her best round of the tournament. Her third round total of 76 included 11 pars and a pair of birdies. Griffin finished the tournament tied for 56
th individually with a total of 235.
Teammate
Prestley Hammond was one of the players tied with her in that spot, as the Lady Chap sophomore also finished with a three-round score of 239. Hammond shot an 82 to close out the tournament.
Jordyn Hall finished right behind the duo in a tie for 59
th. Hall's final round 81 gave her a total score of 237 at the tournament.
Aspen Escamilla finished out her season with an 84 in the final round. She placed tied for 63
rd, two strokes back of Hall with a 239 overall.
Kyra Schmuhl shot her best round of the tournament on the final day with a 77, leaving her tied for 67
th with a total of 241.
