 LOOKING AT SEU
- The Lady Chaps and Hilltoppers are meeting for a 26th time all-time, as LCU has a 15-10 all-time advantage in the series (dates back to the 1987 season). SEU has won three of the past four meetings, including a pair of conference tournament victories. The Hiltoppers upset LCU 3-0 in San Angelo, Texas last season (Nov. 19) at the LSC Championships in their prior meeting and topped the Lady Chaps 3-2 at the 2018 Heartland Conference Championships, which was SEU's previous visit to Lubbock (Nov. 9, 2018).

- SEU is preseason picked to finish seventh in the Lone Star Conference for a second consecutive season. They went 16-12 overall last season, finishing tied for ninth in the LSC with a 16-12 conference record. SEU is 5-10 this season and tied for ninth in the LSC with a 2-2 record. SEU comes to Lubbock with a 1-2 road record this season.

- The Hilltoppers are fourth in the LSC in blocks per set (2.31, 31st nationally) and sixth in total blocks (134, 22nd nationally). Ajani Hodges leads the 'toppers in blocks with 1.12, which ranks fifth in the LSC (48th nationally).
