De La Cruz Receives D2CCA All-South Central Regional Second Team Honors

LUBBOCK, Texas – Junior forward Lexi De La Cruz was selected to the 2023 D2CCA Women's Soccer All-South Central Regional Second Team on Tuesday.
 
De La Cruz led the Lady Chaps with 24 points this season, scoring nine goals and assisting on six others as LCU finished with a 7-7-3 record and went 4-6-1 in LSC play. This is the second consecutive season she has made the All-South Central Region Second Team.
 
The Lubbock native finished the season tied for first in the LSC in goals and ranked within the top-5 in points, assists, shots on goal, and game-winning goals.

De La Cruz started in all 17 matches for the Lady Chaps totaling 1,223 minutes played.

She was also named to the All-Lone Star Conference Second Team.

De La Cruz has 19 goals and nine assists in her two seasons at LCU.
