Regular Season Finale Set For Saturday in Odessa

A Win For LCU Would Match A 29-Win Conference Win Total From 2010

ODESSA, Texas (April 28, 2023) – No.23 Lubbock Christian University concludes the regular season and a three-game Lone Star Conference series at Falcon Field Saturday, as LCU has a noon first pitch against UT Permian Basin.

  • LCU leads the all-time series over UTPB, 32-0.

  • Tiarra Delrosario is 9-for-12 (.750) in four career games against UTPB, with seven RBI against the Falcons.
  • Kamryn Gibbs is hitting .429 (6-for-14) in six career games and has five RBI against UTPB.
  • Kasey Flores (5-for-13 in four games with a homer) has seven RBI and Skylar Herrera and Hope Banales each have six RBI in their careers against the Falcons. Banales is 3-for-7 (.429), while Herrera is 8-for-18 (.444) in seven career games against her hometown team.
  • LCU has five no-hitters against UTPB (all-time) and they have completed the task in three consecutive season. Maxine Valdez has faced UTPB twice in her career and each have resulted in a no-hitter (she has 24 strikeouts in 12.0 innings of no-hit pitching against the Falcons. Taylor Franco is 5-0 all-time against UTPB, with no runs off four hits in 21.2 innings (20 strikeouts).
