SAN SALVADOR, El Salvador (July 10, 2023) – Former Lubbock Christian University softball outfielder
Savannah Wysocki claimed her first international medal, as she is part of Mexico's national softball team, which claimed Bronze at the XXIV Central American and Caribbean Games sanctioned by WBSC Americas.
Wysocki is in her second season with Mexico, which also has former LCU assistant coach Adriana Perez serving as an assistant coach for the program. Mexico went 4-2 in competition, which capped with an 8-1 victory in the Bronze Medal game against Venezuela. Wysocki went 2-for-3 in the contest, which included an RBI. She completed the event with a .357 average in five games, as she was 5-for-14 at the plate with a pair of extra-base hits (double and a triple) and a pair of RBI.
The El Paso, Texas native appeared in 174 games (2019-22) and hit .359. She posted 220 career hits with 86 career RBI over four seasons and is LCU's all-time leader in triples (22) and stolen bases (86). Wysocki is still around Lubbock, as she is attends Texas Tech Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences.
