ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - The Lubbock Christian University Track & Field program competed in the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Invitational hosted by the New Mexico Lobos Saturday. The Chaps gained great experience competing against many Division I teams.
The highlight of the meet was LCU placing in the top-10 of the men's and women's 4X400 meter relay. The team of
Chris Rader,
Keitron Boyd,
Ryan Gordon, and
George Garcia placed seventh in the men's 4X400 running a time of 3:14.68. On the women's side, the team of
Anna Salisbury,
Jozlyn Arana,
Michaelle Sime, and
Elizabeth Florez placed 10th with a time of 3:52.07.
Another top performer for the men was
Ose Olumese who placed fourth in the men's triple jump. He jumped a distance of 14.52 meters.
Alyssa Singletary also cracked the top-10 for the LCU women. She placed 10th in high jump with a height of 1.62 meters.
