LCU was in San Antonio Saturday, drawing 0-0 with St. Mary's. The scoreless draw moved LCU to 4-3-2 overall and 2-1-1 in the Lone Star Conference. LCU is on a three-game unbeaten streak, going 2-0-1 over their last three matches. The Falcons enter the match with a record of 3-2-2 overall and 1-2-1 in the conference. In their last match, UTPB suffered a 3-0 loss to No. 11 Dallas Baptist at home. Before that result, the Falcons opened Lone Star play with a 1-1 draw with Texas A&M – International and a 3-0 win over Oklahoma Christian.
Lubbock Christian and UTPB have squared off annually since their first meeting in 2013, with the Lady Chaps controlling the series with a 12-2-2 record. Last season's result was a 1-1 draw in Lubbock. After winning the first ever match, a 2-1 victory in Lubbock, the Falcons have won only one other match, coming on Oct. 31, 2015. During that span, Lubbock Christian had a nine-game winning streak before the draw last season ended the run. Notably, the Lady Chaps have won their last four matches in Odessa, highlighted by a 11-0 shutout on Sept. 22, 2019.

Emma Wright ranks top ten in the conference in three major statistical categories: goals against average (7), saves (5) and saves per game (9).
The Falcons' offensive leader is Cassandra Ramirez, who ranks 11th in goals in the Lone Star, with three scored in seven games played. Ramirez also ranks eighth in the conference in points, holding seven points through seven games played. In front of the net, UTPB is led by Valeria Delgado, who is ranked fifth in the conference in goals against average, with an average of 1.091. Delgado also ranks eighth in the Lone Star in the shutouts, recording two in six games played.
