Chaps Travel to Kingsville for a Four-Game LSC Series

LUBBOCK, Texas –   The Lubbock Christian baseball team will play a four-game Lone Star Conference series this weekend as they travel to Texas A&M-Kingsville's Nolan Ryan Field to take on the Javelinas.

Around the Horn
  • The Chaps come into the series with a 23-11 overall record after taking three of four from Texas A&M International at home last weekend.

The Series
Thursday will be the 21st meeting all-time between the Chaps and Javelinas. TAMUK has a slight edge in the series, going 11-9 all-time against LCU. The Chaps won the series 3-1 last season, outscoring the Javelinas 28-12 in the four-game set.

  • TAMUK has a 23-15 overall record and sit in fifth place in the LSC with a 21-15 conference record.
  • The Javelinas split a four-game series against St. Mary's last weekend, winning the final game 7-3.
  • TAMUK is in the 17th season with Head Coach Jason Gonzales at the helm.
