No. 16 Lubbock Christian University used an 11-2 fourth-quarter run to remain perfect (6-0) in West Division play, defeating UT Permian Basin 67-62 Thursday inside Falcon Dome.
Audrey Robertson led LCU (15-3, 9-1) with 21 points and seven rebounds, while
Grace Foster added 19 points, including six clutch free throws late.
Maci Maddox contributed 14 points and four assists. The Lady Chaps dominated the offensive glass, grabbing 13 boards for 17 second-chance points. LCU also shot a season-best 94.7% (18-19) from the free-throw line. UTPB (9-7, 7-3) was led by Taysha Rushton's game-high 25 points and Khiara Flugence's 15. The Falcons shot 52.9% inside the arc but fell to 4-2 in the division. LCU's Robertson, Foster, and Maddox accounted for 81% of the scoring as the Lady Chaps secured their 30th all-time win over UTPB, improving to 30-1 in the series.

Grace Foster continues to cement her place in Lubbock Christian University history, surpassing 1,500 career points—a milestone last reached by Allie Schulte on Feb. 3, 2022. Foster's 1,645 career points ranks 10th among active NCAA Division II players and places her within striking distance of the program's all-time top five scorers; she needs 81 points to overtake Emily Pool (Atkins) for fifth place. In addition, Foster has 753 career rebounds, which has her ranking fifth in program history. She needs 84 rebounds to pass Darla Lynch (838, 1979-83) to move into fourth in program history.
Audrey Robertson (sitting with 1,199 career points) joined Foster in the 1,000-point club in career points on Nov. 3, and
Maci Maddox reached the mark Thursday becoming LCU's third active player with 1,000 career points. It marks the first time since the 2015-16 season that LCU has had a trio of 1,000-point scorers, following the legendary group of Haley Fowler, Nicole Hampton, and Kelsey Hoppel.

Lubbock Christian University's women's basketball team entered the 2024-25 season ranked No. 17 in the D2CSC Women's Basketball Division II Top-25 Preseason Poll, a notable return to national prominence after an unusual preseason absence last year. They were receiving votes in the WBCA Preseason Poll (Division II).
In the latest polls, for both national Division II polling organizations, LCU is ranked No16 by the D2CSC and No.18 by the WBCA. LCU is 1-3 against nationally ranked programs this season and each have been against programs in the top-10 nationally.

1 > The Rambelles are enjoying a strong season with a 13-3 overall record and a 9-1 mark in conference play (5-1 in the West Division), riding an 11-game winning streak. They opened the season fourth in the LSC preseason poll. Angelo bolstered their coaching staff with the addition of Stephanie Ruiz, who previously helped Adams State achieve a 41-19 record during her two-year tenure.
2 > Madeline Stephens produced nine rebounds in Thursday's 84-61 win over Angelo State to reach 1,000 for her career. This milestone makes her only the third player in Angelo State program history to achieve this feat. Stephens has been a dominant force this season, averaging a double-double with 13.3 points and 10.1 rebounds per game. She leads the team with six double-doubles and ranks second in the Lone Star Conference (LSC) in rebounding.
3 > The Rambelles have established themselves as one of the top defensive teams in the LSC. They rank second in the conference in opponent field goal percentage, holding opponents to just 33.2% shooting (fifth nationally). Keniah Williams has been instrumental in the team's defensive efforts, ranking second in the conference with 30 blocks this season. Additionally, Angelo State is a force on the boards, leading the conference with 28.6 defensive rebounds per game.
4 > Majik Esquivel and Addy Burns have been pivotal to the Rambelles' offense. Esquivel ranks sixth in the conference in three-point shooting at 34.8% and is the team's leading scorer, averaging 13.8 points per game. Burns, meanwhile, is fifth in the conference with a 1.41 assist-to-turnover ratio, showcasing her ability to run the offense effectively. The team has added significant talent this season, including five freshmen and four transfers. Lubbock Christian University's six-game road win streak came to an end as the Lady Chaparrals fell 61-42 to Angelo State in Lone Star Conference action at Junell Center. The loss marked LCU's first West Division road defeat of the season and dropped their road record to 7-2 overall (6-1 in LSC play).
Audrey Robertson led the Lady Chaps (16-6, 11-4) with 13 points, all scored in the first half on 5-of-8 shooting.
Reese Schumann added eight points, six rebounds, and two blocks off the bench, while
Kennedy Chappell contributed five points, seven rebounds, and three steals. Despite 12 offensive rebounds, LCU managed only four second-chance points and struggled offensively, shooting just 26.2% from the field—their lowest mark in their NCAA era.
Angelo State (17-7, 11-4) controlled the game with dominant performances from Madeline Stephens, who had 20 points and 12 rebounds, and Tayjanna McGhee-Pleasant, who posted 12 points, 14 rebounds, and four blocks. The Rambelles outscored LCU 17-5 in points off turnovers and used a decisive 22-6 run late in the game to pull away.
LCU trailed 13-7 after a first quarter in which they shot just 16.7% from the field. A second-quarter rally, highlighted by an 8-0 run, narrowed the deficit to 21-15, but the Rambelles responded to take a 31-21 lead into halftime. The Lady Chaps cut the lead to 34-30 midway through the third quarter before Angelo State closed the period on an 8-2 run and extended their advantage to 56-36 late in the fourth.
Grace Foster returned to action after missing two games, logging 22 minutes and scoring four points.
