Chaparrals Place 20th at NCAA Regional

Morrison Leads LCU at Final Meet of Season

PUEBLO, Colorado (November 8, 2025) - The Lubbock Christian men's cross country team wrapped up the 2025 season on Saturday, competing at the NCAA Division II South Central Region Cross Country Championships, hosted by CSU-Pueblo at Walking Stick Golf Course.
 
The Chaparrals finished in 20th as a team, tallying 528 total points in the 10K race.
 
It was junior Gavin Morrison who led the way for the Chap squad, posting a personal best time of 33:11.0 to place 85th overall.
 
Samuel Bryan and Matthew Gordon finished back-to-back in 96th and 97th, respectively. Bryan posted a time of 33:27.0 and 33.27.5. Kaleb Gaona came in not far behind with a time of 33:56.9 to place 106th.
 
Aiden Zingone, running in the final race of his collegiate career, posted a personal best time of 35:21.0, which placed him 141st.
 
Alfons Rawall and Micah Zapata rounded out the Chaparral seven with 148th and 156th place finishes.
