LUBBOCK, Texas (July 2, 2026) – Lubbock Christian University has announced the fall 2026 cross country schedules for both the men's and women's teams, which includes three chances to see the teams run in Lubbock.

The season begins on the road as the Chaps and Lady Chaps head to Lawton, Oklahoma to compete in the Aggie Duels on September 4. They will be back in the Sooner State later in the month on September 26 when they compete in the Cowboy Jamboree, hosted by Oklahoma State.

LCU's first run of the season in Lubbock comes on September 18. They will be competing at the Texas Tech Open, which is hosted at the LCU Cross Country Course.

The regular season will wrap up on October 17, when Lubbock Christian competes at the Old Glory Gallop, hosted by Dallas Baptist.

When the postseason comes, fans will have two more chances to see the Chaps and Lady Chaps run on their home course. Lubbock Christian has been selected of the host of both the Lone Star Conference Championships, which are on Nov. 7, and the NCAA South Central Regional Championships, which is on Nov. 21.

This will be the first time ever for Lubbock Christian to host the Lone Star Conference meet. They last hosted the NCAA South Central Regional in 2023 and also hosted it in 2022.

The 2026 season will be the first under the direction of new head cross country coach Nicholas Rivera. Rivera comes to LCU after several successful years coaching at Artesia High School and an impressive running career at Texas Tech.
