LCU Wraps Up Road Trip with Sunday Doubleheader at St. Mary’s

SAN ANTONIO, Texas (March 9, 2025) – Lubbock Christian University looks to cap off its road trip on a high note Sunday with a Lone Star Conference doubleheader against St. Mary's, beginning at 1 p.m. at St. Mary's Softball Stadium.

LCU (16-8, 7-7) looks to regain its early-season form after an 11-game win streak, as the Lady Chaps have gone 4-7 in their last 11 games and managed just 10 hits over their last four outings. They are coming off a doubleheader split Friday at St. Edward's.
 
The Lady Chaps trail 22-23 in the all-time series against St. Mary's, with the last three matchups taking place in San Antonio, where LCU holds an 8-18 record. LCU has won five of the past seven meetings, but the Rattlers have taken the last two.
 
St. Mary's enters at 14-11 overall and 9-5 in LSC play. The Rattlers are coming off a split against No. 4 Angelo State, with a game-two loss snapping their four-game win streak. This marks StMU's first season under head coach Ronnie Ladines, who replaced longtime coach Donna Fields after 27 seasons.
