LUBBOCK, Texas (May 22, 2025) – For only the second time in program history, a member of the Lubbock Christian University softball team has earned multiple All-America honors in a single season, as first baseman
Kendra Levesque was named to the Third Team by both the D2CCA and the NFCA.
Levesque claims her first All-America accolades and becomes the first Lady Chaps member to claim both D2CCA and NFCA honors since Morgan Colburn was recognized by both organizations in 2016. The Albuquerque, N.M., native adds to her decorated graduate season after also earning NFCA First Team All-Region, All-Lone Star Conference First Team, and LSC Golden Glove accolades. The slugging first baseman led LCU in nearly every offensive category, posting a .395 batting average with 24 doubles (second-most in NCAA Division II), 13 home runs, 57 RBI, and a 1.206 OPS. Her 137 total bases rank 16th nationally, and her .741 slugging percentage is fifth-best in the LSC. Levesque led the team with 15 multi-RBI performances and owns LCU's longest hitting streak of the season, ending the season with hits in her final 19 games. She also made national headlines earlier this spring by reaching base in 17 consecutive plate appearances—tying for the 16th-longest hit streak in Division II history with 10 straight hits—and was honored as the NFCA National Player of the Week during that stretch.
A graduate, Levesque becomes the first Lady Chap to earn D2CCA All-America honors since Tori Colburn in 2016, and just the second in program history. Her NFCA selection marks the first since
Kasey Flores in 2023 and is the sixth overall in program history. Across all organizations that award non-academic All-America honors, Levesque is the sixth different Lady Chaparral to receive the distinction.
