RICHARDSON, Texas (August 27, 2025) – The Lubbock Christian women's soccer team was slated to finish seventh in the 2025 Lones Star Conference Preseason Poll, the league announced on Wednesday.
The Lady Chaps collected 392 total points in the poll, which was voted on by LSC head coaches, sports information directors and media members.
Preseason players to watch were also released by the league, with three LCU players featured.
Ella Spiller was named an Offensive Player to Watch,
Emma Best was picked as a Defensive Player to Watch, and
Emma Wright is on the Goalkeeper to Watch list.
Dallas Baptist was picked to win the league with 650 points and 29 of the possible 43 first place votes. The Patriots also boast the LSC's Preseason Defensive Player of the Year in Parker Coe. Annie Rocha of St. Edward's was selected as the league's Preseason Offensive Player of the Year, and Amanda Farris of Texas Woman's was named the Preseason Goalkeeper of the Year.
The top eight teams by points at the end of the regular season will advance to the LSC Postseason Tournament, which will take place from Nov. 7-16. First round and quarterfinal matches will be played on campus before the remaining four teams play at the final site, hosted by the No. 1 seed, which also receives a bye.
Lubbock Christian finished the 2024 season with an 8-7-3 overall record, including a 6-5-2 showing in Lone Star Conference play. The Lady Chaps will open the 2025 season at home, taking on Colorado School of Mines at 7 p.m. on Sept. 6 at the LCU Soccer & Track Complex.
