STILWATER, Okla. (September 26, 2025) – The Lubbock Christian men's cross country team competed at the Cowboy Jamboree on Friday, finishing with a team time of 2:13:17.
It was an 8K race for the men at the Greiner Family OSU Cross Country Course.
Samuel Bryan led the group of 10 Chaparrals competing in the meet, placing 107
th with a time 26:18.4. It was almost identical to his 8K time to start the season at the Texas Tech Open.
Kaleb Gaona finished close behind in 109
th and
Gavin Morrison placed 113
th with a time of 26:23.6. Newcomer
Matthew Gordon clocked a time of 27:06.7 to place 14
th and Alfons Rawal came in close behind in 146
th.
Aiden Zingone placed 159
th and
Micah Zapata was the final Chap to score points in 189
th.
LCU's final four runners crossed the finish line in succession from spots 192 to 195, including
Rylan Brajnik,
Ethan Garcia,
Jackson Martinez and
Khaedyn Lawson.
Lubbock Christian has one final regular season meet on Oct. 10 in New Mexico before the Lone Star Conference Championships on Oct. 25 in Fort Worth, Texas.
