Mattie Dollar Averages 17.7 Points Per Game, Records Back-To-Back Career-High 20-Point Performances To Earn Hoops In Hawaii Tip-Off Classic All-Tournament Team Honors

LUBBOCK, Texas (November 2, 2026) – Lubbock Christian University's Mattie Dollar has been selected to the Hoops in Hawaii Tip-Off Classic All-Tournament Team after helping lead the Lady Chaparrals to a 2-1 record at the D2CCA-sanctioned season-opening tournament in Honolulu, Hawaii.

Dollar, native of Newcastle, Texas, has made an immediate impact in her sophomore season, averaging 17.7 points and 3.7 rebounds per game while shooting 54.3% (19-of-35) from the field and 45.5% (5-of-11) from three-point range across LCU's three games. She also contributed six assists, three steals and a blocked shot while scoring in double figures in every contest. Her 53 points led the Lady Chaps during the tournament.

The sophomore guard opened the tournament with a career-high 20 points against Winona State on Oct. 30, scoring 11 points in the first quarter and connecting on three three-pointers. She followed with another 20-point performance the next day against Western Colorado, matching her career high while shooting 9-of-11 from the field. Dollar added career highs of five assists and three steals in the 80-49 victory, helping LCU bounce back from its season-opening loss.

Dollar closed the tournament with 13 points and five rebounds against Alaska Anchorage on Nov. 1, helping the Lady Chaps secure a 63-56 overtime victory in the fifth-place game. She converted all three of her free-throw attempts and scored in double figures for the third consecutive game.

The tournament selection continues a strong start to the season for Dollar, who entered her sophomore campaign with two career double-figure scoring performances. She has already recorded three this season, including back-to-back career-high 20-point outings.

The Lady Chaps completed the tournament 2-1 and returns home for their next six games. The home opener is scheduled for Monday, Nov. 9, as LCU faces Western Colorado for the second time this season. Tip-off is scheduled for 6 p.m. inside Rip Griffin Center.
