LAWTON, Okla. (March 1, 2026) – Lubbock Christian University continues the Sooner State swing of their current eight-game road trip Sunday with a Lone Star Conference doubleheader against Cameron scheduled for a 1 p.m. start at McMahon Field.

LCU and CU Series Snapshot
  • Lubbock Christian swept the regular season series (doubleheader) last season to improve to 11-6 in the all-time series.
  • LCU has won three straight meetings after a 15-6 and 5-1 win over the Aggies on Feb. 14, 2025 in Lubbock.
  • LCU is 5-2 all-time in Lawton, winning two-of-three in a three-game regular season series on April 8, 2024.

Coach Talk
  • LCU head coach Daren Hays is in his 16th season at the helm of the Lady Chaps.
  • Hays is LCU's winningest softball head coach, entering the weekend with a softball record of 596-228.
  • Along with surpassing 575 coaching wins in softball, Hays had surpassed 300 wins as a collegiate baseball head coach. He spent eight seasons as the LCU baseball head coach and compiled a 356-163 record. Combine the two sports and Hays has coached in 1,295 total games at LCU.

Looking at CU
  • Cameron is a perfect 4-0 at McMahon Field this season and rides a two-game win streak after sweeping Midwestern State. The Aggies have scored nine runs in each of their last two games and are averaging 7.5 runs per game during their current homestand.
  • Despite a 2-6 LSC mark, Cameron is hitting .335 in conference games, outpacing its opponents' .333 average. The Aggies have tallied 77 hits and six home runs in eight league contests, with five regulars hitting .385 or better in LSC play.
  • Haley Gardella leads the charge with a .413 average, eight home runs, and a .873 slugging percentage, while Brynn Webber (.364) and Chloe Broussard (.359) provide on-base production. Gardella and Webber combined for four home runs in their sweep of Midwestern State.
  • Stormee Reed anchors the staff with 50 strikeouts in 44.2 innings, including 13 punchouts in the Game 2 win over MSU. However, Cameron pitching has issued 78 walks in 113.2 innings overall and owns a 7.14 ERA in conference play.
