DENTON, Texas (March 29, 2026) – Lubbock Christian University heads into an important Lone Star Conference doubleheader Sunday afternoon at Dianne Baker Field, as the Lady Chaps (13-9 in conference) and Texas Woman's (15-7 in conference) seek to remain in the upper tier of the crowded LSC standings. First pitch for the doubleheader is scheduled for 12 p.m.

LCU and TWU Series Snapshot
  • With wins in 10 of the prior 13 meetings, LCU has a 11-5 all-time series advantage.

Included in the latest stretch is a 5–3 mark on an eight-game road trip and followed with a 4–2 homestand before their Friday doubleheader split at UT Tyler.

TWU has been one of the league's most consistent teams, winning 10 of their last 12 conference games, including series wins over Angelo State, St. Mary's and St. Edward's, while splitting their most recent doubleheader with Midwestern State.
  • Offensively, TWU is hitting .281 as a team (.299 in conference play) and features one of the most dynamic top-of-the-order groups in the league. Tamia Cherry (.403 in LSC play), Zaryah Williams (.371) and Marissa Espinoza (.364) have anchored the lineup, combining for consistent contact, speed and run production, with the trio accounting for 80 hits in conference action.
