TYLER, Texas (May 6, 2026) – Five Lubbock Christian University baseball players were recognized with Lone Star Conference postseason awards, the league announced on Wednesday.

Aaron Rubio and utility player
Jorge De Los Santos were named to the All-Conference First Team, outfielder
Hudson Grace was recognized on the Second Team, right-handed pitcher
Karson Dunn was named to the Third Team and outfielder
Kyle Lewis was selected for the All-Defensive Team. Rubio also earned a spot on the All-Academic Team.

In his first season with the Chaps, Rubio has been one of the best pitchers in the Lone Star Conference. His 3.33 ERA is the second-best in the league among qualified pitchers and he is fourth in the league in both innings pitched (73.0) and strikeouts (61). The Las Vegas native has tossed three complete games, two of which were shutouts. He has been named the LSC Pitcher of the Week Twice this season. He is 9-1 overall and has one save as well.

Joining him on the first team is his sometime catcher,
Jorge De Los Santos. The junior has caught 28 games this season but also played 23 at second base, earning him the utility spot on the All-LSC First Team. De Los Santos is batting .353 and leads the team in walks for a .486 on-base percentage. He has 11 doubles, one triple and seven home runs. He is also tied for fifth in the league in stolen bases with 27.

Grace is another first-year Chap who made an impact right away. He has led the offense this season with a .366 batting average and a .629 slugging percentage. He has the most triples in the LSC with seven and is tied for fifth in doubles with 19 while also hitting six homers. Grace has also swiped 24 bags, driven in 40 runs and scored 51 times, batting out of the two-hole most of the season.

Dunn has turned in a stellar senior season to earn his spot on the Third Team. He leads the league in innings pitched with 76.0, posting a 4.50 ERA in that time. Opponents are hitting just .273 against the Arizona native, and he has struck out 42 batters on the year. A ground ball pitcher, Dunn has induced 11 double plays this year.

Lewis was named to the All-Defensive team in the outfield. He has started all 52 games in center field for the Chaps and committed just one error in 119 chances. He has four assists from his spot in center. The Lubbock native is also tied for the league lead in runs scored with 65.

Lubbock Christian finished the regular season 31-19, earning the No. 5 seed in the Lone Star Conference Tournament. The won last weekend's best-of-three series against the No. 4 seed St. Edward's and are the only lower-seeded team to advance to this weekend's final site.

The Chaps will open the double-elimination tournament against the host and No. 1 seed UT Tyler at 6 p.m. on Thursday at Irwin Field.
