LUBBOCK, Texas (July 28, 2026) – Lubbock Christian University head golf coach Jeff Maciejewski has announced the fall portions of the Chaparrals' and Lady Chaparrals' 2026-27 schedules, with the two programs combining to compete in eight tournaments across five states and Mexico.
 
The fall slate includes four events for each program. The spring portions of both schedules will be announced at a later date.
 
LCU's women open the season Sept. 14-15 at the RJGA (Ruidoso Junior Golf Association) Shootout at Estrella, hosted by Western New Mexico at the Golf Club of Estrella in Goodyear, Ariz. The Lady Chaparrals placed fourth among 14 teams at the event last season, marking their best finish of the fall campaign.
 
LCU then travels to South Jordan, Utah, for its first appearance in the Westminster Wasatch Invitational, scheduled for Sept. 20-21 at Glenmoor Golf Club. The Lady Chaparrals return to familiar territory Sept. 28-29 for the West Texas A&M Fall Invitational at La Paloma Golf Course in Amarillo. LCU finished ninth in the 15-team field there last season. The women close the fall Oct. 19-20 at the Midwestern State Invitational at Wichita Falls Country Club. LCU placed sixth among 16 teams at the tournament during the 2025-26 season.
 
Maciejewski's women's program enters the new campaign following three consecutive appearances in the NCAA Division II West Regional. LCU was represented by an individual qualifier three seasons ago before earning team qualifications in each of the past two seasons.
 
The Chaparrals begin their fall schedule Sept. 27-29 at the Shootout at PGA Riviera Maya in Akumal, Mexico. Western New Mexico will again serve as the tournament host. LCU will compete in the international event for the second consecutive season after placing ninth among 15 teams during its inaugural appearance last year. The two trips to PGA Riviera Maya represent the only international competitions in the history of the LCU golf programs.
 
LCU returns to the United States for The Hrnciar, scheduled for Oct. 5-6 at The Territory Country Club in Duncan, Okla., which is an event the Chaps last appeared in during the 2024-25 season. The Chaps follow with a return visit to the Ryan Palmer Invitational on Oct. 12-13 at Amarillo Country Club.  The fall concludes Oct. 26-27 with the NCAA Division II South Central/West Regional Preview at The Dominion Country Club in San Antonio. LCU competed at the same venue during last season's Rattler Invitational.
 
The Chaparrals produced their strongest result of the 2025-26 season at the Oak Tree Invitational, where they placed second in an 18-team field at Oak Tree Country Club in Edmond, Okla. LCU also recorded a top-five result at the San Juan Intercollegiate, tying for fifth among 12 teams.
