Saturday, October 18th - Noon
LCU Soccer Field (Lubbock, Texas)

LADY CHAPS FLIGHT DECK
•    The Lubbock Christian University Lady Chaparrals return home for their final home stand of the season: a three-game stretch, which has them hosting Rogers State (Saturday) and Newman (Monday) before their home finale on Oct. 25.
•    LCU enters the weekend 3-0-0 in conference play following a 3-1 conference road win over St. Mary's for their fifth consecutive win.
•    The Lady Chaps are 3-1-0 at home this season and 14-5-2 all-time in home games under head coach Alex Denning.

STORY LINES
•   A 3-0-0 start in conference play marks the second consecutive season LCU has started 3-0-0 in conference. Last season, LCU opened the season 6-0-0 in conference play before falling in their final two games.
•    LCU has outscored their opponents 13-3 in the first half this season. They have scored the first goal in nine of their 11 games this season and they have won eight of the nine games when scoring first. They have not won a game this season when surrendering the opening goal.
•    The Heartland Conference awarded their weekly women's soccer honors to Brooke Wendl, leading the Lady Chaps on the week with three goals and six points. She produced an insurance goal in a 2-0 win at Texas A&M International and followed with her 10th career multi-goal game in a two-goal performance at St. Mary's. Her first goal against StMU proved to be the game winning goal for her fifth of the season (12th in her LCU career). The junior from Plano, Texas leads the Heartland Conference in points (26, ranks tied for 10th nationally), points per game (2.6, ranks sixth nationally), goals (11, ranks tied for eighth nationally), goals per game (1.1, ranks fifth nationally) and game winning goals (5, ranks tied for fourth nationally). Wendl is now a two-time recipient of the honor this season and a three-time recipient all time.
•    All seven of LCU's goal scorers have at least a .500% shooting percentage of shots on goal. Audra Park (7 of 12, .583), Claudia Sanchez (16 of 28, .571), Kristin Fellows (5 of 9, .556), Brooke Wendl (22 of 40, .550), Jamie Boone (15 of 30, .500), Ashley Ledford (10 of 20, .500) and Shannon Rogers (2 of 4, .500) each have a .500 percentage or better.
•    LCU leads the Heartland Conference with 31 goals on the season (tied for 16th in the nation) and goals per game (2.8, which ranks tied for 14th nationally). Their 31 goals to enter the weekend already surpasses last season's total of 28.
•    Goalkeeper Lauren Story registered her fifth shutout of the season in a win over Texas A&M International (co-leads the conference) and it was her program career-leading 12th of the season.

SCOUTING RSU
•    The Hillcats have a record of 0-12-0 on the season and have lost 15 consecutive games dating back to last season.
•    RSU is one of five teams in NCAA Div.II that has not recorded a win or tie this season.
•    This is the first season for Hillcats head coach Heather Cato, who comes to RSU from Whitman College.
•    Paige Pontarolo ranks fifth in the Heartland Conference with a pace of 2.6 shots per game.
•    The Hillcats have only combined for seven goals on the season, but four are by Blair Thomas, who leads the team with nine points.

SERIES HISTORY WITH RSU
•    RSU leads the all-time series 2-1-1.
•    Both programs migrate to the Heartland Conference from the Sooner Athletic Conference.
•    LCU defeated RSU for the first time in their most recent meeting: a 2-1 LCU win in Clarendon, Okla. on Oct. 21, 2013.
•    Four prior meetings, but only one in Lubbock. On Oct. 11, 2012, the two teams played to a 1-1 double overtime draw.
