Box Score WICHITA FALLS, Texas (September 19, 2014) – Jamie Boone did something that was rare by an opposing player at MSU Soccer Field: score a goal. Unfortunately, Boone's goal would not lead Lubbock Christian University to a victory, as Midwestern State University scored a pair of second half goals for a 2-1 win over the Lady Chaparrals Friday evening.

Boone, with an assist by Kristin Fellows, scored her third goal of the season to give LCU a 1-0 lead in the 14th minute. The goal was the first allowed in the last 444:40 by the Mustangs, and the first they have allowed at home in over a span of 625:37 carrying over from last season.  Boone's eighth career goal led to a 1-0 halftime advantage for LCU.

Destinee Williamson was determined to get the tying goal for MSU. Firing a game high 11 shots, she was able to find the equalizer in the 50th minute for her second goal of the season. MSU took the lead three minutes later with Ashley Cottrell netting her second goal of the season.

LCU was unable to tie the game and suffered their second straight loss, while MSU (3-0-3) remained un-beaten. MSU out-shot LCU 27-9 in the game, with an 18-5 advantage in the second half. Lauren Story stopped seven of nine of MSU's shots on goal and fell to 3-2-0 with the loss. MSU goalkeeper Courtney Burnette claimed the victory (3-0-3) stopping two of LCU's three shots on target.

The meeting was the first all-time contest between the two programs. LCU fell to 3-2-0 and are amidst their first two-game losing streak of the season. MSU improved to 3-0-3. The Lady Chaps will aim to end their current skid Sunday at 1 p.m. facing East Central University in Ada, Okla.
