About Oklahoma Panhandle State
The Aggies are 3-12 overall and 1-6 in Heartland Conference play., with their lone win coming in a 74-72 overtime battle at Oklahoma Christian.

History between Chaps and Aggies
The all-time series between the two squads is tied at 23-23. Their meetings date back to 1974, but the teams have only faced off three times since 2002, including last year's 83-68 Chap victory. LCU has won six of the last seven contests.

Last meeting between LCU and OPSU
GOODWELL, Oklahoma (January 25, 2014) – Eli Baker's fourth consecutive double-double and A.J. Luckey's game-high 22 points led Lubbock Christian to an 83-68 victory over Oklahoma Panhandle State Saturday afternoon at Oscar Williams Field House.
Baker compiled 20 points and 12 rebounds to lead the Chaps (9-6, 4-5), while Luckey collected 19 of his points after leaving the game in the first half with an injury. Anthony Brancato finished the game with a dozen points and Tyler Rogers added 10. LCU committed a season-low seven turnovers and drained a conference season-high nine three pointers.
In the early goings of the contest, it was the Chaps versus OPSU's Bill Lee, Jr., as he scored the first 15 points for the Aggies (1-17, 1-8), while LCU had eight players in the scoring column. A layup by Rogers along with a shot fake-and-go by Baker put the Chaps up 4-2, and a deep three from the right wing by Brancato gave LCU an 8-7 lead at the 16:41 mark. Lee hit a jumper and a shot in the paint to put the Aggies on top, 8-7, before Quay Johnson nailed a trey as the shot clock expired for a 10-8 Chap advantage. A three-pointer by Jeremy Ford extended LCU's lead to 13-10 with 12:35 to play before Lee  connected on a shot from beyond the arc to knot the game at 13-all.
The Chaps began a 7-0 run on a three-point shot by Luckey and took a 24-23 lead on a jumper by Beau Durham with seven minutes left in the half. The Aggies then returned the favor with a 7-0 run of their own, capped by a big dunk from Tavien Rosemond to put OPSU in front, 30-24, with five minutes remaining in the first period. Successive layups by Baker and Rogers cut the Aggie lead to 34-31 with 2:17 to go, but two three-pointers within the final minute of the half gave OPSU a 41-37 edge with six ticks left on the clock. Marcus Arrington dribbled up the court for the final play in the half and drew a blocking foul as the buzzer sounded, putting him at the line for the bonus. His attempt was unsuccessful, as was the appeal for a new free throw, seeing that the LED lights stayed on during his attempt, sending the Chaps down four going into the break.
A 9-0 run by the Chaps six minutes into the second half gave LCU a 57-49 edge, with the majority of the momentum coming from a faraway three by Brancato. Lee cut into the Chap lead with a three-pointer, but Durham hit Baker with a bounce pass from the opposite block for an easy bucket. A steal and dunk by Baker with under 10 minutes to play put the Chaps on top, 61-53, but OPSU's Krys Randolph hit a three to slice the lead to 63-58.
LCU scored five unanswered points to take its first double-digit lead of the game at 68-58 with 6:31 to go. Kysahn Sands scored on a jumper and a pair of free throws to pull the Aggies within 70-62, but Luckey answered with a three-pointer and Durham had a putback to extend LCU's lead to 75-62 with 4:22 left to play. The Aggies went without a field goal for three minutes, meanwhile a three-pointer by Ford ended OPSU's hope for a comeback to put LCU on top, 80-66, with 3:33 left in the game.

Pivotal Schuster rally cages Lions in Chap win
LUBBOCK, Texas (January 17, 2015) – Marcos Schuster scored 10 points within the final three minutes on his way to a career-high 20 points, and A.J. Luckey scored a game-high 20 to guide Lubbock Christian to a 71-63 win over Arkansas-Fort Smith Saturday afternoon at the Rip Griffin Center to end a two-game conference losing streak.
The game was a tale of two halves, with Luckey heading the offense with 15 of the Chaps (8-6, 5-2 Heartland) 28 points during the first 20 minutes while Schuster contributed 17 after the break, leading LCU to outscore the Lions (8-8, 4-4 Heartland), the league's preseason number one pick, 43 to 26 following intermission. Isaac Cardona was a force on the glass, posting a career-high 16 rebounds and falling one point short of his first career double-double. In addition to the Chaps production, LCU held the Heartland Conference's third leading scorer, Seth Youngblood, to zero field goals with his only four points coming from the free throw line.
Trailing UAFS 37-28 at half, the Chaps opened with a 13-0 run and did not allow the Lions to add to the scoreboard until nearly six minutes in when Dusan Stojanovic hit two free throws. Fort Smith did not score a field goal until 13:28 left in the second half to knot the game at 41-all.
Two free throws by Matthew Alford put the Chaps up 46-45 with 9:29 to play and another score by Alford on a baseline jumper pushed LCU in front, 48-45. A strong offensive board and putback by Cardona two minutes later extended the Chap lead to 50-45.
The Lions' Blake Branham drained a three pointer and two free throws to give UAFS up 53-52 with 4:22 on the clock. Luckey then netted two free throws to put LCU up 54-53 prior to eight LCU points, all by Schuster to give the Chaps a 62-57 edge with 1:40 to play. A layup by Marcus Arrington extended the lead to seven, and an additional seven consecutive free throws by Alford, Schuster and Luckey put LCU up by double digits to snap a two-game losing streak.
For UAFS, Branham and Josh Harmon had a team-high 13 points.
