CHAPS FLIGHT DECK• The Lubbock Christian University Chaparrals continue a regular season-ending six-game road trip (2-1-0 so far on the trip) Saturday afternoon at No.16 St. Edward's.
• The Chaps are 6-6-2 on the season and garnered consecutive wins for the first time since Sept. 11 & 13th with a 1-0 win Thursday at Dallas Baptist.
• LCU is 4-2-0 this season in road competition. They are 9-4-0 on the road all-time under head coach
Lee Williams (5-1-0 under Williams in conference road games) and they are 29-16-5 all-time in road play.
STORY LINES• LCU is seeking consecutive conference wins for the first time this season. LCU's two conference wins came over Texas A&M International and Dallas Baptist.
• The Chaps have out-shot their opponent in all but two game this season. LCU leads the Heartland Conference in shots per game (19.7), which ranks fifth nationally.
• Lubbock Christian has struggled offensively over the prior 12 games. LCU scored five goals in each of their first two games, but since then, they have not been able to produce more than two goals in a game. The Chaps are 1-5-0 this season when scoring less than two goals. The one win in the situation came Thursday at DBU.
• LCU faces No.16 St. Edward's, which marks the third time this season LCU has played a ranked team. They are 0-1-1 against ranked teams this season (tied No.2 Midwestern State 2-2 on Oct. 5). They are 3-5-2 all-time against ranked teams and 0-1-0 all-time against teams carrying a No.16 ranking. St. Edward's was ranked No.16 last season, as LCU fell 2-1.
• The Chaps are coming in following back-to-back shutouts. Thursday's shutout was LCU's second of the season and marked LCU's 24th shutout in program history (12th on the road) and the fourth under head coach
Lee Williams. The Chaps have an active shutout sequence of 158:03 heading into Saturday's play.
• The Chaps are 16-6-0 all-time in Heartland Conference contests and 10-1-0 all-time in Heartland Conference road games.
SCOUTING SEU• The Hilltoppers are 10-2-2 on the season (5-0-0 in conference) after defeating Texas-Permian Basin Saturday 3-1.
• SEU went 16-3-1 overall and 8-0-0 in conference a year ago. They went 7-1-0 at home last season and are off to a 6-1-1 home record this season.
• The Heartland Conference voted SEU as the preseason favorites.
• Pablo Covarrubias, the reigning Conference Co-Offensive Player of the Week, leads the team with seven goals and co-leads the conference with a trio of game winning goals.
• The Hilltoppers lead the conference in goals (39, 11th nationally) and points (112, 10th nationally), plus defensively, they are fourth nationally in GAA (0.48) and they have 10 shutouts and they are second in the nation with 71 percent of their games ending in a shutout.
SERIES HISTORY WITH SEU• The all-time series is split 1-1-0 with the road team winning each game..
• LCU defeated No.13 SEU 1-0 on Oct. 28, 2013, which was LCU's last visit to Austin, Texas.

Chase Williams scored in the 86th minute, but LCU was unable to overcome a 2-0 deficit and fell 2-1. Steve Aoudou scored the game winning goal for SEU.
