All-time Series: LCU leads 7-4

History between Lubbock Christian and St. Edward's
The Hilltoppers began the all-times series against the Lady Chaps in 1989 with four straight wins, but since then LCU has taken the following seven matches.
Last meeting amongst the squads
Austin, Texas (October 8, 2015) – Ariel Froeschl totaled 13 kills for Lubbock Christian University while teammates Maddie Johnson and Emily Hanaway each recorded a dozen in a four-set win (25-21, 25-17, 19-25, 25-20) over St. Edward's Thursday night at the Recreation and Convocation Center. The Lady Chaparrals (10-6, 5-2 Heartland) increased their win streak to five matches, their longest of the 2015 season.
Volleyball puts up a trio of 25-14 set wins over UTPB
Odessa, Texas (October 29, 2015) – Kacey Deterding and Christiana Tavo each recorded 10 kills to lead Lubbock Christian University to a sweep of Texas-Permian Basin by three identical scores of 25-14 Thursday night inside the Falcon Dome to pull within a half-game behind third-place Dallas Baptist in the Heartland Conference standings. The Falcons (4-17, 2-11 Heartland) reeled off the first four points of the evening with a pair of service aces from Jordan McDonald and two LCU attack errors. The Lady Chaps (15-9, 8-5 Heartland) fell behind 8-2 before amassing a 17-0 run that included a dozen errors by UTPB to leap ahead 19-8. Kills from Tavo and Deterding finalized set one. Another big run in set two took the Lady Chaps from a 2-1 deficit to a 9-2 advantage. Two kills apiece by Ariel Froeschl and Deterding put LCU in front, 15-4. Samantha Matthews and Maddie Johnson supplied another pair of kills to stay ahead 18-10 before wrapping up the frame on a UTPB ball handling error. LCU again took advantage of a string of Falcon errors in set three to pull ahead 10-6 and kept a steady lead throughout. A service ace by Kyleigh Lucia put the Lady Chaps up 17-11 before four more UTPB mishaps extended the gap to 21-12. Catie Cline tallied the final point on a kill from the middle for the LCU victory.
