LADY CHAPS FLIGHT DECK• The Lubbock Christian University Lady Chaparrals continue with the third originally scheduled game of a seven-game homestand, hosting Texas-Permian Basin Friday. LCU was unable to play their second game of the homestand due to weather Wednesday hosting Midwestern State.
• LCU enters the week 2-2-2. The Lady Chaps fell 4-0 at Texas A&M-Commerce, but returned home and rebounded with a 3-2 win over East Central to end a four-game winless streak.
• The Lady Chaps, 5-2-0 last season at home, are 2-0-1 this season at home. LCU is 18-6-3 all-time at home under
Alex Denning (11-3-1 all-time under Denning in non-conference home games) and 22-14-5 all-time overall at home.
STORY LINES• LCU enters the week with 49 all-time program wins and their next win will mark their 50th in program history.

Brooke Wendl finds herself amongst several statistical leaderboards. She enters the week leading the Heartland Conference in points (13), assists (3) and shots (23), while also co-leading in goals (5). Nationally, Wendl ranks tied for 31st in points.
• LCU goalkeeper
Leslie Castellano has started in the prior three consecutive games. She produced a career best five saves at A&M-Commerce and followed it with a new personal best six-save performance against East Central to claim her first career win.
• The Lady Chaps lead the Heartland Conference in points (37), goals (14) and assists (9). Their 14 goals ranks tied for 37th nationally.
• How important is it for LCU to score first? They are 2-0-2 and have not lost a game when scoring first. At the same time, LCU has not lost a game when they score at least a goal in a game.
• LCU has already matched a single season program record the number of games resulting in a draw with two. The Lady Chaps are 2-6-8 all-time in overtime games.

SCOUTING UTPB• The Falcons are winless and 0-6-0 on the season.
• UTPB went 2-14-1 last season. On the road, they went 0-7-0 last season. The Falcons are 0-2-0 on the road this season and have lost 13 consecutive road games dating back to Sept. 26, 2013. Their last road win was a 2-1 win in Lubbock over LCU.
• Erica Ancich leads UTPB with two goals for four points. Ancich and Ashley Redwine have the only goals for UTPB. Their offense has been held to three goals and are still looking for their first assist.
• UTPB was preseason picked ninth in the Heartland Conference.
