LADY CHAPS FLIGHT DECK
• The Lubbock Christian University Lady Chaparrals play their home opener Saturday hosting Fort Lewis College. Due to the amount of rain received this week, the game is being played in Wolfforth, Texas at Frenship Soccer Stadium (LCU is 1-0-0 when playing games at Frenship Soccer Stadium).
• It is LCU's Heartland Conference tune-up, as LCU will follow the game with their first conference game Thursday.
• The Lady Chaps are coming in 1-0-0 following a 2-0 win Thursday at Texas-Permian Basin.
STORY LINES
• The Lady Chaparrals improved to 6-0-1 all-time in season openers with their win Thursday. LCU takes a 5-0-1 record in home openers into Saturday's action.
• LCU went 7-0-2 at home last season. LCU is 23-6-4 all-time at home under
Alex Denning (12-3-1 all-time under Denning in non-conference home games) and 27-14-6 all-time overall at home.
• This season mark's LCU's fourth season as members of the Heartland Conference and second season with conference and NCAA postseason eligibility. Last season, LCU qualified for the Heartland Conference Tournament for the first time in program history.
• The Lady Chaps have nine new additions on their roster this season wearing the home jersey for the first time.

• Thursday, Boone, LCU's second all-time leader in career goals, scored her 16
th and 17
th career goals. The two goals match a career single-game high. She has three two-goal games, with the prior one coming Oct. 10, 2015 against Oklahoma Christian.
• LCU is coming into the game following a shutout. The shutout marked LCU's third shutout in a season opener. It was their 31
st shutout overall in program history. LCU has produced two shutouts in home openers in their history.
SCOUTING FLC
• The Skyhawks are coming off a 12-5-4 season, going 8-2-1 in Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference play. This game marks their season opener.
• FLC went 6-2-1 last season on the road, going unbeaten in their final five road games (4-0-1) of the season.
• The RMAC preseason polls has FLC picked to finish second in the conference.
• The Skyhawks return eight players off of last season's NCAA qualifying squad. The tied St. Edward's 0-0 and failed to advance in the South Central Region Championships falling in penalty kicks.
• Three of the first four games for FLC are in Texas. In addition to a stop in West Texas, the Skyhawks also play at San Angelo (Angelo State) and Wichita Falls (Midwestern State).

• This meeting marks the first between the two programs.
