Lady Chaps In Austin For Final Regular Season Road Contest

LADY CHAPS FLIGHT DECK
• Lubbock Christian University women's soccer has made their way to Austin, Texas for a Heartland Conference tilt against St. Edward's University Saturday afternoon. Kickoff against the Hilltoppers is set for 1 p.m. at Lewis – Chen Family Field on the SEU campus.
• LCU is looking to bounce back after suffering their fourth shutout loss of the season in a 3-0 defeat on the road against Dallas Baptist University Thursday night.
• The Lady Chaps are 5-4-0 when playing on the road this season and have outscore opponents 11-9 in those away contests.
 
STORY LINES
• The match against the Hilltoppers will serve as the Lady Chaparral's final regular season road game of the 2017 campaign.
• Despite being shutout Thursday night, the LCU offense is averaging 1.47 goals per match on 15.8 shots per game. Claudia Sanchez leads the Lubbock Christian squad with 33 shots this season.
• Not only does Sanchez lead LCU in the shooting category, the senior is also for first on the Lady Chap roster with eight points on four goals.
• The Lady Chaparrals currently reside in the fourth place of the Heartland Conference table. They are two points behind third place St. Edward's with three matches left in the regular season.
Hannah Wise has logged 1,414:03 of time this season, while keeping her goals against average to a .70 mark. Wise has recorded nine shutouts and 43 saves on 104 shots faced.
 
SCOUTING SEU
• St. Edward's is coming off of their most offensively charged performance of the season after a 6-0 home victory over Oklahoma Christian Thursday night.
• The Hilltoppers are averaging 1.67 goals per match on offense while holding opponents to a .47 goals per game average on defense.
• SEU keeper Ocoee Wilson has played and started in all 15 matches while posting nine clean sheets. The sophomore has allowed seven goals while recording 45 saves for a .865 save percentage.
• India Wentz leads the St. Edward's roster with 16 points on five goals and six assists. Three of her goals have been game-winners for the Hilltoppers.
• SEU is outscoring opponents 18-2 when playing at home this season.
 
SERIES HISTORY WITH SEU
St. Edward's leads the series against the Lady Chaps 6-0-1 with five of those wins coming in regular season matches. LCU has taken the Hilltoppers to an overtime period in the past two meetings. Earlier this season, Lubbock Christian went the distance and held the Hilltoppers scoreless in a 0-0 draw at LCU Soccer Field (Sept. 14).
