LADY CHAPS FLIGHT DECK
• Lubbock Christian University will play their 2017 Heartland Conference home opener Thursday afternoon against an unbeaten St. Edward's program.
• The Lady Chaps head into the match with a three game win-streak, where they scored a total of six goals (all on the road).
• Freshman keeper Hannah Wise heads into Thursday's showdown after being named the Heartland Conference Defensive Player of the Week.
• Lubbock Christian is 1-0 at home this season following a 3-0 shutout win over Texas Permian Basin to kick off the 2017 campaign.

STORY LINES
• The match marks the first time ever that a top-five ranked team will play at LCU Soccer Field. Last year the Lady Chaps hosted the Hilltoppers when SEU was ranked No. 8 overall. LCU is seeking their first ever win over a ranked opponent (0-10-0 all-time), as they are 0-4-0 at home hosting a ranked opponent and 0-2-0 against top-10 ranked teams (overall). They are 0-5-0 against ranked foes with Alex Denning serving as head coach.
• The Lady Chaparrals are 25-11-4 all-time in Heartland Conference games and 14-3-2 all-time in Heartland Conference home contests.
Hannah Wise has captured a shutout sequence of 287:30 over the past three matches. Wise has also marked four shutouts on the year and is ranked first in the Heartland Conference, ninth nationally, in goalie minutes played (467:30).
• The Lubbock Christian squad ranks 14th nationally with a .800 shutout percentage.
• Senior Kate O'Gara stands fourth in the nation for game-winning goals with two on the year.

SCOUTING SEU
• The Hilltoppers come into Thursday's contest ranked as the No. 5 team in the latest United Soccer Coaches poll. They have not been beaten so far and hold a 3-0-1 record. In their previous match, SEU tied No. 11 Texas A&M – Commerce in a 0-0 double overtime affair.
• Their match against LCU will serve as St. Edward's first road game of the 2017 campaign. Last season, the Hilltoppers finished 6-1-1 in away games.
• SEU leads the nation with a perfect 0.000 goals against average. Keeper Ocoee Wilson has played and started in all four of the Hilltoppers matches and ranks first in the nation for save percentage (1.000).
• St. Edward's has tallied three goals on the year from three different players. Kelly Andrus, who posted seven goals in 2016, has yet to record a goal this season.
• The Hilltoppers 2016 season concluded after a first round loss in penalty kicks at the NCAA Tournament to Midwestern State University.

SERIES HISTORY WITH SEU
• St. Edward's holds a 6-0-0 all-time record over the Lady Chaparrals. The match will be the third time ever for LCU to host the Hilltopper women. Lubbock Christian has allowed 13 goals from SEU while scoring three of their own in the series. In their previous meeting, St. Edward's defeated the Lady Chaps 2-1 on an overtime goal (10/22/16).
