FINISHING OUT THE ARBOR
The final day of the Arbor Hotels Classic marks the close of a season-opening five-game homestand for Lubbock Christian University. Saturday, the AHC closes with LCU hosting University of Texas of the Permian Basin at 6 p.m. inside Rip Griffin Center. LCU will hit the road for a trio of games before returning home Dec. 1 to host Our Lady of the Lake.

FRIDAY FLASHBACK
Olivia Robertson recorded her first career double-double with 15 points and a career-tying 10 rebounds to help lead No.3/10 Lubbock Christian University to a 65-40 victory over Southern Nazarene University Friday evening inside Rip Griffin Center. LCU held SNU to a 27.7% (13/47) shooting mark, while the Lady Chaps scored at least 16 points in each quarter to pace for the win.

HOMELAND SECURITY
LCU completed their home schedule going 16-0 last season season. They are the eighth team in NCAA Division II women's basketball history to win 54 consecutive home games with their win over Southern Nazarene Friday (it actively leads NCAA Div. II). If LCU extends the streak to 56, they would become the seventh team in NCAA Division II history to hit the plateau. The record is 87 consecutive home victories by Nebraska-Kearney, who completed the task from Jan. 31, 1995 - Nov. 24, 2001. LCU's last home loss came on Jan. 1, 2015 against Oklahoma City University. LCU has also won 49 consecutive home conference games, with their last conference home loss occurring Jan. 10, 2013 (against Oklahoma City). They are 43-0 all-time in Heartland Conference home games.

THE QUAD
LCU has four players averaging at least 10 points through their opening four games of the season. Olivia Robertson (13.0) leads the team this season in points per game, with Maddi Chitsey (12.3), Allie Schulte (11.8) and Bobbi Chitsey (10.0) also in double figures. LCU has had three different players lead their team in scoring for a game this season.

SISTER CHRISTIAN
Saturday's win over CSU-Pueblo marked the first time in LCU program history in which a pair of sisters tallied double figures, as LCU received double-digit point production from Olivia Robertson, Juliana Robertson, Bobbi Chitsey and Maddi Chitsey. LCU has three sisters on the squad, but they have not had a game yet in which all three sisters touched the floor.  Caitlin Cunyus has been sidelined and has to play in a game this season.

LENDING A HELPING HAND
LCU has three players with at least an average of 2.0 assists per game.  Allie Schulte leads the team with 19 assists (4.8 per game), with Olivia Robertson (11, 2.8) and Bobbi Chitsey (10, 2.5) also providing into the ball distribution. LCU averages 15.8 assists on 24.8 field goals per game.

- The Falcons went 8-20 last season, with a 6-14 mark in Lone Star Conference play under Rae Boothe, who was in her first season at the helm of the Falcons. UTPB has not enjoyed a winning season since 2014-15, suffering at least 20 losses in each of the past three seasons.

THE SERIES AGAINST UTPB
LCU is 20-0 all-time against the Falcons. LCU has faced UTPB the past two seasons in Lubbock (part of the Arbor Hotels Classic), winning 72-34 last season. This is UTPB's third season in the Lone Star Conference, as the two teams ended a Heartland Conference relationship three seasons ago.  UTPB's last Heartland Conference contest was a loss to LCU at the Conference Tournament in Tulsa, Okla.

PREVIOUS RECAP VS. UTPB
Nov. 18, 2017 (Lubbock, Texas - UTPB: 34 - LCU:72
No.23 Lubbock Christian University held University of Texas of the Permian Basin to shoot 18.8% (13/69) and received a near-triple-double from Tess Bruffey (15 points, 11 rebounds and 8 blocks), as the Lady Chaparrals closed the 2017 Arbor Hotels Classic with a 72-34 win inside Rip Griffin Center.

The 18.8% shooting percentage is the lowest mark by an LCU opponent recorded on file (game-by-game records kept on file since the 2004). The Falcons were held to two field goals in the second (2/19, 10.5%) and fourth (2/10, 10%) quarter of the contest. UTPB went stretches of 4:09 (0-for-4 in the opening quarter), 7:34 (0-for-11 in the first and second quarter), 7:47 (0-for-13 in the second and third quarter) and 3:45 (0-for-15 in the fourth quarter) without a point.  The span of 3:45 in the fourth quarter was part of a 5:49 stretch in which UTPB went without a field goal. UTPB did not have any of the prior runs interrupted by points from the free-throw line, as they did not have their first free-throw attempted until 4:05 remained in the game. From a 20-minute span from the midway mark of the first quarter to the midway mark of the third quarter, UTPB was 3-of-31 (9.7%) from the field.

While one team was struggling to get points, the Lady Chaps were cashing in. LCU was 48.1% from the field (26/54), with a mark of 56.4% (22/39) if the second quarter was excluded. The two teams went the opening 3:58 of the second quarter without a point and combined for six field goals (four by LCU).  LCU led 26-14 at the half.

Bruffey, who led all scorers with her 15 points, scored her final eight points in the third quarter. LCU was 9-of-13 (69.2%) from the field in the third quarter.  Several freshman took the spotlight in the fourth quarter, as Ashton Duncan (7 points) and Emma Middleton (9 points) combined for 16 points in the quarter.

The Lady Chaps hit 10 three-pointers (10/24, 41.7%), marking the fourth consecutive game in which they hit at least 10 three-pointers. LCU committed more turnovers (12-11), but led the points-off-turnovers category 16-2. They also had a 16-12 advantage in second chance points despite allowing 22 offensive rebounds to UTPB.

Bruffey's double-double was her 19th of her career and third of the season. The NCAA Division II's active career blocks leader posted a season-high eight to give her 294 in her career.  LCU also received 11 points from Bobbi Chitsey, who was 5-of-7 from the field with five rebounds in 16 minutes of time on the floor. Seven Lady Chaps had at least six points in the game. No Falcons player had more than two field goals in the game. Khali Pippins-Tyron led the winless Falcons (0-4) with seven points.
