LUBBOCK, Texas (September 8, 2018) – The Lubbock Christian University Lady Chaparrals close out their play in the Chap Classic Saturday, hosting Arkansas - Monticello at 1 p.m. inside Rip Griffin Center. LCU seeks to end a three-match losing streak and grab their first home win of the season.

- LCU and Arkansas-Monticello are meeting for the first time all-time.
- Arkansas-Monticello is a member of the Great American Conference (GAC). They went 10-22 overall last season, with a 2-14 mark in conference play.  They are preseason picked 10th in the GAC this season.
- UAM enters the day 1-10 this season and on an eight-match losing streak. They open Saturday's play with a morning match against St. Mary's.
- The Weevils enter the week ranking fourth in the GAC in aces with 48.
- MarKayla Dickie enters the Chap Classic ranking sixth in the GAC with 87 kills.

- Lubbock Christian is not only seeking their first home win (0-2), but they are seeking their first set win at home. They have dropped all six of their sets played at home, which is a program first.
- LCU is 5-5 in the second set this season, but they have dropped their last last three and have been limited to an average of 16.3 points in their last three matches in the second set.    
-Lauren Zoller is leading LCU in kills on the week, with a pace of 3.5 per set and with 21 total.
