How It Happened
Set One:
The opening frame was tightly played, featuring a tied score on 10 occasions. The only separating came with a 4-0 LCU run, which included a kill by
Jaiden Kennedy to help LCU take a 14-10 lead. UAM inched back and tied the set at 21-21. Teams traded points until LCU's
Avery Moore produced a kill and provided a block assist with
Morgan Schwarz to claim the opening set 25-23. The Lady Chaps had a .273 attack mark, with Schwarz, Kennedy and
Ashley Vanfleet each notching four kills.
Bradi Marshall provided assists to 15 of the Lady Chaps 16 kills in the set.
Kelsie French produced nine digs in the set.
Set Two:
The score was tied 2-2 until UAM committed four straight errors leading to an 8-2 LCU run for a 10-4 lead. LCU also used a 7-0 run to take 21-9 advantage before winning the set 25-12. UAM had a -.148 attack percentage after three kills nad seven attack errors in the set.
Set Three:
LCU opened the third set on a 7-3 run spearheaded by a pair of kills form
Avery Moore. UAM moved with two points on several occasions before LCU pulled away with a 4-1 run to take a 20-15 lead. LCU swept the match with a 25-18 set win. The Lady Chaps produced 18 kills in the set, with seven by Moore. French had 11 digs in the set.
