Lubbock Christian University plays their final divisional road game Saturday, heading to Silver City, N.M. to face Western New Mexico. The stakes are high following a 3-1 loss Thursday at Texas – Permian Basin, as LCU has dropped their last five (three divisional road games) road matches. A win Saturday places LCU on the verge of clinching a berth to the 12-team field of the Lone Star Conference Championships, and a loss would place LCU into an extreme battle for the fourth-place spot in the division. LCU is 3-5 in the division (in fourth place), as WNMU is 1-4 (fifth place) in divisional play.
