LADY CHAP NOTES
- Lubbock Christian enters Friday's regular-season finale at Midwestern State at 12-14 overall and 8-8 in Lone Star Conference play with its postseason fate still alive, but no longer in its own hands. The Lady Chaparrals must defeat Midwestern State to finish 9-8 in conference play and then need a specific combination of results elsewhere to claim one of the nine berths in the LSC Championships.
- LCU's remaining postseason path requires four results: a Lady Chap win at Midwestern State, Cameron defeating West Texas A&M and Eastern New Mexico defeating Oklahoma Christian on Friday, followed by West Texas A&M defeating Oklahoma Christian on Saturday. That combination would leave LCU at 9-8 and both WT and Oklahoma Christian at 8-9. Texas Woman's results cannot eliminate LCU in that scenario because the Lady Chaps own the head-to-head advantage over the Pioneers.
- The Lady Chaps enter Friday 10th in the LSC standings, immediately behind Oklahoma Christian at 8-7. Western New Mexico moved to 9-7 with Thursday's sweep of St. Mary's, while West Texas A&M and Texas Woman's sit behind LCU at 7-8. The top nine teams advance to the single-elimination LSC Championships.
- LCU is closing the regular season with five consecutive road matches and has split the first four, defeating Texas Woman's in five sets and UT Permian Basin in four while falling to DBU and No. 5 Angelo State. The Lady Chaps are 4-4 in conference road matches and 4-7 in true road contests overall.
-
Camdyn Sears enters the regular-season finale with 15 double-doubles this season and 38 during her LCU career. She recorded 10 assists and 11 digs at Angelo State while also contributing five kills and a block. Sears has now posted double-doubles in seven of LCU's last nine matches.
- Sears continues to fill multiple roles for LCU, totaling 631 assists, 253 digs and 124 kills this season while hitting .290. She averages 7.25 assists per set, which ranks sixth in the LSC, and her 631 total assists rank seventh in the conference. Sears has also recorded three triple-doubles, ranking second in the LSC and fourth nationally.
- Sears has remained particularly efficient as an attacker during conference play. She is hitting .314 against LSC opponents with 98 kills and only 13 attack errors on 271 attempts. Her production in league play also includes 380 assists, 156 digs and 15 service aces.
- Freshman
Kayson Reeves has become one of the LSC's top blockers during her first collegiate season. Reeves enters Friday with 97 total blocks and averages 1.11 per set, ranking fourth in the conference in both categories and 31st nationally in blocks per set. She has recorded at least five blocks in six of LCU's last seven matches.
- Reeves was one of LCU's bright spots at No. 5 Angelo State, finishing with five kills without an attack error on 12 attempts for a .417 hitting percentage while adding five block assists. In conference play, Reeves is hitting .301 with 109 kills and has 67 total blocks in 55 sets for 1.22 per set.
- LCU's blocking numbers have strengthened during conference play. The Lady Chaps average 2.00 blocks per set against LSC opponents and own a 110-104 advantage in total blocks. Overall, LCU averages 1.98 blocks per set, ranking seventh in the conference and 81st nationally.
-

Gonsioroski led LCU with seven kills against Angelo State and has been one of the Lady Chaps' most consistently involved attackers during the second half of league play.
-

- The Lady Chaps continue to perform more efficiently within conference play than their overall numbers suggest. LCU is hitting .198 in LSC matches compared with .176 overall, while opponents are hitting .202 in league play. LCU has also committed 44 fewer attack errors than its conference opponents, 263-307.
