Highlights
Lubbock Christian University suffered their second consecutive four-set loss, as they fell for a fourth straight road match Saturday afternoon to No.21 Texas A&M - Commerce. Sydney Andersen had 18 kills and a .500 attack percentage to lead the way for the Lions, who hit .274 as a team and held a 57-41 kill advantage over LCU. They also received 13 kills from Shelley Chapron and 10 from Keziah Williams. LCU received 12 kills from Avery Moore, who had a .333 hitting mark. Bradi Marshall had the match's only double-double with 32 assists and 18 digs. The two teams combined for 18 serving aces, with LCU producing 10 (Maddie DeGuire and Sloan Williams each with four). The meeting was LCU's first of the season against a nationally ranked squad.

How It Happened

Set One:
A kill by LCU's Karley David-McLeroy provided LCU a 7-6 lead, but a trio of kills by Williams and a pair by Andersen helped combine for an 8-1 rally for the Lions, who took a 14-8 lead. TAMUC outscored LCU 10-5 to close the set with a 25-15 set win. The Lions had a 16-7 kill advantage in the opening frame for LCU.

Set Two:
The Lady Chaps responded with seven serving aces in the second set. Three by DeGuire were in succession during a 5-1 run to open the set for LCU. Mady McCully served an ace to give LCU a 10-5 lead, but the Lions rallied back and eventually took a 13-12 lead in the set. A kill by Sarah Wall ignited a 6-1 LCU run and the Lady Chaps regained the lead 18-14. Freshmen Sloan Williams (two aces and a kill) and Hailey Cournoyer (kill) combined together to help occupy a 6-0 LCU run and LCU turned an 18-15 lead into an eventual 25-19 set win to tie the match.

Set Three:
The third set featured the score tied 10 times and the set was knotted up 13-13 until TAMUC completed 11-2 run to grab a commanding 22-15 lead. The Lions won the set 25-19. LCU fell in the set despite a 13-12 advantage in kills in the set.

Set Four:
The Lions were paced by 17 kills in the final set, producing them on a .412 hitting percentage. LCU had three aces in the set and 12 kills on their best hitting-set of the match (.212), but an 11-4 run to open the set for TAMUC provided them the momentum. The Lady Chaps did use a 5-0 run to cut their deficit to 17-15, and later a 5-1 rally to cut it to 22-20, but the Lions closed the set with a 3-0 run to clinch the match with a 25-20 set win.
