LUBBOCK, Texas (February 11, 2019) – Lubbock Christian University has their nine-game homestand and the LCU Invitational come to an end with a split-doubleheader Monday, hosting University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS) at 1 p.m. and West Texas A&M at 5 p.m. at PlainsCapital Park on the LCU campus.
LCU and UCCS Series Snapshot
- LCU leads the all-time series over UCCS, 1-0.
- The only prior meeting between the two teams was on Feb. 14, 2015 at the Desert Stinger Classic in Las Vegas, Nev., where LCU defeated the Mountain Lions 9-0.
- The contest is LCU's final meeting scheduled this season against a Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) foe, as LCU is 1-0 this season against RMAC programs.
LCU and WTAMU Series Snapshot
- WTAMU leads the all-time series over LCU, 11-9.
- LCU is 7-4 all-time against WTAMU at PlainsCapital Park.

Darling is tied for fourth in doubles (3), fifth in batting and sixth in on-base percentage (.611) in the conference.
- Lindzi Clemmer leads LCU with 21 total bases and poses a .840 slugging mark (fifth in the Heartland Conference). Of her 11 hits this season, seven have been for extra bases (she co-leads the conference with five doubles). Clemmer is tied for second in the conference in runs scored (12).
- The statistic of "game-winning RBI" is not an official statistic, but Savannah Wysocki has the game-winning RBI in two of LCU's six victories (Alexis Reed, Morgan Dufour, Arredondo and Villarreal each have one).
- LCU did not have a four-hit performance last season. They have had three in seven games this season, as K'leigh Arredondo, LCU's RBI leader (12), produced four hits against Southern Nazarene, Wysocki had a four-hit game against Chadron State and Clemmer went 4-for-5 against West Texas A&M.

- While LCU is playing their first nine games at home, UCCS is playing their first 12 games away from home. Their first home game (Feb. 23) doubles as their conference opener.
- UCCS is 1-1 in Lubbock, as Friday, they split a doubleheader. They fell in five innings to West Texas A&M 12-4 before defeating UTPB 14-3 in five innings.
- The Mountain Lions are 3-3 on the season and have alternated results (wins and losses) in each game.
- Amanda Nobles (8), Rayle Glover (8) and Melissa Martinek (7) have combined for 23 hits, which accounts for 43% of UCCS's 53 hits on the season. They are the only three players with more than five hits on the season for UCCS.

Looking at WTAMU
- The Lady Buffs are coming off a 40-13 season and they went 21-6 in the Lone Star Conference. They closed out their season with a trip to the NCAA Division II South Central Region Tournament, where they went 1-2.
- The Lady Buffs went 3-3 in the opening tournament of the season, last weekend, where they hit .284 with 11 doubles, two triples and four home runs for 32 RBIs in wins over Washburn, #25 Augustana and Minnesota Duluth. They are 1-1 in Lubbock this season, as they followed their 8-7 loss to Lubbock with a 12-4 win over UCCS.
- Kylee Moore was named to the Schutt Sports/National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Division II National Player of the Year Top-50 Watchlist. She is hitting .391 this season with a homer and nine RBI.
- Kourtney Coveney ranks seventh in the Lone Star Conference in slugging (.818). She leads the Lady Buffs with 10 hits and has three for extra bases (two home runs and a triple).
- Sunday's game with LCU marked their first road game of the season. They went 13-7 on the road last season.
