LUBBOCK, Texas (March 24, 2019) - The LCU Chap Men's Golf team is set to compete Monday and Tuesday at The St. Edward's University Invitational in Austin, Texas. The Chaps will face several South Central region ranked teams in the 15-team field including St. Mary's University (1), Oklahoma Christian University (2), Western New Mexico University (3), Midwestern University (5), and Rogers State University (8).
Every remaining tournament is important for the Chaps. Currently ranked 10
th in the South Central region, LCU faces opportunities to compete against region foes that will impact their post-season fate.
"The team is excited about the opportunity to play with something important on the line," says Coach
Gary Belt. With three tournaments remaining on the schedule, the Chaps hope to carry momentum over from last week's runner-up finish at the Hillcat Classic. "The team feels positive and confident about their play and position. They want to finish this season strong," added Belt.

Tanner Thompson, and
