Sophomore Fires 1-Under 71 As LCU Posts Season-Best Final Round To Close Fall Schedule

ROCKWALL, Texas (October 28, 2025) — Sophomore Hudson Reagan fired his second-best collegiate round with a 1-under 71 on Tuesday, pacing the Lubbock Christian University men's golf team to a strong finish at the DBU Classic, where the Chaparrals placed 11th overall with a three-round total of 914 (306–307–301, +50) at Rockwall Golf & Athletic Club (7,182 yards | par 72).

Reagan, from Brownwood, Texas, posted a share of the round's sixth-best score in the 90-player field, playing his final 16 holes at 2-under par. He carded birdies on the par-5 3rd, par-3 5th and par-3 12th to shoot a 71, marking his lowest round since a 70 at the 2024 Ryan Palmer Invitational and finishing tied for 29th place overall at 223 (+7). Reagan's tournament included 37 total pars, tied for ninth-most in the field, and a 2.92 average (-1) on par 3s — ranking him tied for fifth among the field on the short holes.

Junior Noel Bondesson continued his steady fall campaign, closing with an even-par 72 to finish tied for 26th at 222 (+6), leading the Chaps individually. The Sweden native's consistent play included 11 pars on Tuesday, highlighted by a birdie on No. 6 as part of an even-keeled front nine of 35.

Senior Maximiliano Dufey (74–79–79 = 232, +16) and Tres Arreola (80–79–79 = 238, +22) each posted matching 79s in the final round. Dufey battled through a tough front nine before regrouping to card a 37 on the back-nine, while Arreola recorded his second straight round under 80 to close a consistent week.

Freshman Dylan Ford (81–78–81 = 240, +24) capped his first collegiate team-lineup event with a final-round 81, highlighted by an eagle on the par-5 3rd. Freshman Jake Collard, competing as an individual, finished at 255 (80–85–90, +39) in his collegiate debut.

As a team, LCU surged up the leaderboard Tuesday with its lowest round of the tournament (301) and a balanced effort across the board. The Chaparrals ranked eighth in total pars (161) and tenth in par-5 scoring (4.98, −1), while producing one of the event's few eagles and showing steady gains on approach and green play throughout the week.

St. Mary's (TX) captured the team title at 855 (−9), edging Central Oklahoma (863, −1) and DBU (866, +2). Individually, St. Mary's Kongpop Kaikaew claimed medalist honors with a three-round total of 206 (−10), followed by Central Oklahoma's Bryant Polhill (209, −7) and Southern Arkansas' Luke Cote (210, −6).
