ROCKWALL, Texas (April 21, 2026) – Lubbock Christian was unable to make a move up the leaderboard in Tuesday's final round of the Lone Star Conference Championships, finishing 10th after 54 holes with a team score of 934 (319-307-308) on the 7,320-yard, par-72 layout at Rockwall Golf & Athletic Club.
The Chaparrals trimmed 12 strokes between the opening and second rounds but remained in 10th place throughout the tournament and were unable to close the gap on the top four teams needed to advance to medal match play. LCU finished 35 strokes back of fourth-place Midwestern State (899).
Despite the team result, LCU produced several notable individual and statistical highlights across the two-day event.
Senior
Hayden Bowman led the way, carding rounds of 77, 74 and a final-round 72 to finish with a 54-hole total of 223 (+7), placing tied for 10th. Competing in his fourth Lone Star Conference Championship—becoming just the third player in program history to reach that milestone (joining
Tiaan de Jager and Braxton Floyd)—Bowman recorded LCU's top individual finish and the program's fourth top-10 showing at the event. It marked LCU's first top-10 individual finish since 2024 and Bowman's third top-10 finish of the season. He also ranked among the tournament's most productive players, tying for second in the field with nine birdies and tying for second in par-5 scoring (4.67, -4).
Maximiliano Dufey followed at 228 (+12) after rounds of 79, 73 and 76, finishing tied for 23rd. His second-round 73 highlighted LCU's strongest round of the tournament, and he joined Bowman among the tournament leaders with nine total birdies.
Hudson Reagan showed the team's most notable improvement over the three rounds, rebounding from an opening 85 with an 80 before closing with an even-par 72 to finish at 237 (+21) (T-47). Reagan also excelled on par-3s, tying for fourth in the field with an even-par average (3.00).
Grayson Henegar posted rounds of 91, 82 and 88 to finish at 261 (+45). LCU's lineup was shortened in the final round, as
Dylan Ford—who opened the tournament with rounds of 78 and 80—did not finish after withdrawing Tuesday.
As a team, Lubbock Christian showed flashes of competitive play, finishing sixth in the field in par-3 scoring (+14) and eighth overall with 29 total birdies. However, the Chaparrals struggled to capitalize on scoring opportunities—particularly on par-5s, where they ranked eighth (+7)—and recorded 78 bogeys, limiting their ability to climb the standings.
This marked the second consecutive season the championship was held at Rockwall Golf & Athletic Club, where LCU placed sixth a year ago.
With the conclusion of stroke play, UT Tyler (890), Cameron (894), West Texas A&M (897) and Midwestern State (899) advanced to medal match play, with semifinal matches scheduled Wednesday morning followed by the championship final in the afternoon.
Lubbock Christian will now await the NCAA postseason selection announcement to determine if it will receive a team or individual at-large bid.
