Promotional graphic recognizing LCU golf players selected to the CSC Academic All-District Team. The background features a composite of a golf course fairway and a large white classical-style building. Bold light blue text on the left reads 'ACADEMIC' and along the bottom reads 'ALL-DISTRICT.' The CSC Academic All-District Team shield logo with an open book and stars is centered at the top. Seven student-athletes are featured standing in a row, all wearing blue LCU polo shirts. The four men on the left wear gray shorts and casual poses — one holds a putter, another makes an 'OK' hand gesture, one stands with arms crossed, and one leans playfully. The three women on the right wear gray golf skirts and pose playfully — one follows through on a golf swing holding a club overhead, one stands smiling with arms at her sides, and one poses with a hand on her hip. The LCU interlocking wordmark logo appears in the upper right corner and the New Balance logo appears in the lower right corner

Chaparrals Set Program Record With Four Men's Honorees While Escamilla Becomes A Two-Time CSC Academic All-District Selection

LUBBOCK, Texas (June 18, 2026) – Lubbock Christian University golf combined excellence in the classroom with success on the course, as seven Chaparrals and Lady Chaparrals were recognized on the 2025-26 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District® At-Large Team.

Representing the Chaparrals were Noel Bondesson, Hayden Bowman, Maximiliano Dufey and Hudson Reagan, while Alexandra Escamilla, Hailey Hays and Anaya Perales earned recognition for the Lady Chaparrals.

The four men's selections are the most in a single season in program history and mark the first CSC Academic All-District honorees for the program since Jackson Comer and Bryce McCracken were recognized during the 2023-24 academic year. On the women's side, the Lady Chaps placed Academic All-District selections for the first time since the 2023-24 campaign, when Kyra Schmuhl, Lily Griffin, Prestley Hammond and Escamilla received the distinction. Escamilla becomes a two-time Academic All-District selection.

Bondesson, a junior sport management major from Landskrona, Sweden, maintained a perfect 4.00 grade-point average while producing one of the top seasons for the Chaparrals. A Lone Star Conference Preseason Player to Watch, Bondesson posted three top-25 finishes and finished the season ranked No. 65 in the South Central Region with a 73.5 scoring average. He also earned LCU President's List honors and was named to the Lone Star Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll in both the fall and spring semesters after previously earning NJCAA All-Academic recognition at Collin College.

Bowman, a senior biology major from Lubbock, Texas, adds another academic accolade after being named to the Lone Star Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll during each of his eight semesters as a Chaparral student-athlete. Ranked No. 15 in the South Central Region, Bowman recorded two top-three finishes while posting a 72.7 scoring average. His season was highlighted by a runner-up finish at the San Juan Intercollegiate, where he opened with a program-record 62 (-9), including a back-nine 29, before closing with rounds of 68 and 69 for a 54-hole total of 199 (-14), setting the LCU record for lowest tournament score. Bowman tied for the tournament lead with 19 birdies and topped the field in par-three scoring while helping LCU post a program-record team score of 844 (-8). He also qualified individually for the NCAA South Central Regional in 2024-25 and recorded the best individual regional finish in program history.
