Lubbock Christian will face Texas A&M-International in the rubber game of a three-game series at noon Friday after the two teams took one game apiece in a doubleheader Thursday. The Chaps led almost the entire two games in Laredo on the first day of play, but lost a late lead in game two for the Dustdevil win. The Chaps are now a game and a half above Rogers State in the Heartland Conference standings, as the Hillcats won their series opener. They remain two games ahead of Oklahoma Christian, who split a doubleheader against UAFS on Thursday.

LCU – Making his second straight start for the Chaps is junior
Logan McCrummen. The Lubbock native pitched well in his last outing when he was forced to make an emergency start in place of
Ricky Contreras. In the start against St. Edward's McCrummen matched his season high with 7.0 innings pitched, scattering six hits and allowing just two runs. For the season, he has the second most appearances on the team at 14, posting a 5.77 ERA in 39.0 innings on the mound. He has struck out 25 batters and opponents are hitting .262 against him.

TAMIU – Starting for the 12
th time this season for the Dustdevils is right-hander Ruben Solis. The senior has posted a 9.64 ERA so far this season in a team-leading 51.1 innings on the mound. Opponents are hitting .367 off of Solis and have been walked 30 times, while he has struck out 28. Solis faced the Chaps earlier this season when the two teams met at Hays Field, allowing seven runs on 12 hits with just one strikeout in 5.0 innings pitched.
