LADY CHAP HEADERS
- Lubbock Christian started the season 0-1 for the second straight year. They have not been winners in their season-opener since 2017 when they took down UT Permian Basin 4-0
- Freshman Celia Duarte scored her first collegiate goal on Thursday in the Lady Chaps' 3-1 loss to UCCS
- Thursday's loss marked the first time LCU has allowed at least three goals in a game since Sept. 22, 2018 when they lost 4-1 at Dallas Baptist. The last time they allowed exactly three goals in a match was October 21, 2017 in a 2-0 loss at St. Edward's
WHAT TO WATCH FOR
- The Lady Chaps will be playing just their third game in program history on Centennial State soil, where they have yet to win a game
- Goalkeeper Hannah Wise dropped to 17-17-2 for her LCU career with Thursday's loss and will be looking to get back in the win column against the Thunderwolves
- LCU is one of six members of the new-look Lone Star Conference to remain winless after their first game, as UT Permian Basin, St. Mary's and Oklahoma Christian all lost while Dallas Baptist and Texas A&M-Commerce played to ties
- Lady Chaps went 3-6 on the road last season and do not have a winning record in games away from home since 2014 when they were 6-4
- Lubbock Christian is 17-16-4 in non-conference matchups since they moved to the NCAA Division II level for the 2014 season
SCOUTING CSUP
- In their first game of the 2019 season, CSUP took on fellow Lone Star Conference team West Texas A&M 2-0
- The Thunderwolves were picked to finish seventh in the RMAC preseason poll
- Sierra Cardenas leads the women's soccer program, entering her third season at the helm with a 19-14-4 overall record in that time
- CSUP's top two goal-scorers in 2018 (Laikyn Koss and Mackenzie Bean) both graduated after the season
- Thunderwolves have not ended the season with a losing record since 2015, when they went 8-10
ALL-TIME AGAINST CSUP
LCU and CSUP have met each of the last two seasons, with the Thunderwolves coming away victorious in each instance. CSUP were winners by a score of 2-0 the last time the teams met in Pueblo, and LCU was unable to overcome an early 2-0 deficit at home last season, losing 2-1.
