LUBBOCK CHIRSTIAN (3-6, 3-6) at
TEXAS A&M-KINGSVILLE (7-1, 7-1)
Sunday, February 16 – 1 p.m.
Nolan Ryan Field – Kingsville, Texas
Â
LEADING OFF
The Lubbock Christian baseball needs something to change. They have just one win in the last six contests and have lost back-to-back series. In the current series against Texas A&M-Kingsville, they have lost all three games, two of which were by one run and in extra innings. The Chaps have had good enough pitching to win all three games against Javelinas, with their starters posting an earned run average of 2.79, but the offense batting a lackluster .173.
Â
PROBABLE PITCHERS
LCU –
Logan McCrummen has not been needed out of the bullpen so far in the series, so he will most likely get the start in the series finale. McCrummen is 1-1 on the year, although both decisions came in relief. This will be his first start of the season. He has not allowed an earned run in seven and a third innings on the mound, scattering six hits while striking out five. In 2019 McCrummen made five starts, allowing 36 runs in 25.1 innings pitched. He walked 19 batters in those outings and struck out 19 as well.
Â
TAMUK – He wasn't used yesterday, so it will probably be Kolby Lunsford who goes to the mound for the Javelinas as they go for the sweep. Lunsford's only appearance this season was his start last weekend against Cameron, when he allowed just one run albeit on six hits in six innings of work.
