The Chaps' previous highest ranking ever was No. 4, which they achieved last week and from Jan. 20-27, 2004 when they were still in the NAIA. In the NABC National Top-25 Poll, Lubbock Christian held firm at No. 9 with 267 points.

THE SERIES WITH THE FALCONS

The two teams first began meeting in 2002, which was UTPB's first season of competition. LCU captured the first eight matchups between the two teams before UTPB finally got a win in 2014. Since 2014, the series has been much more even, with the Chaps taking a 6-5 lead with Thursday's win.
