LOOKING AT TAMUK
- The Lady Chaps and Javelinas first squared off in 1979 and have met nine times all-time (LCU leads the series 5-4). Of the nine prior meetings, five were neutral site contests. The last four meetings were on-campus meetings, with LCU hosting TAMUK in their previous meeting (3-0 LCU win) on Oct. 2, 2021. The two programs have only met once in Kingsville, which resulted in a 3-0 Javelinas win Sept. 12, 2015.
- TAMUK was preseason picked 10th in the Lone Star Conference. They went 13-10 last season, with a 7-10 mark in conference play (tied for 11
th in the LSC).
- The Javelinas are 11-8 this season (3-3 in conference matches to rank tied for ninth in the LSC), with a 3-0 record in home games.
- TAMUK ranks sixth nationally and second in the LSC in attacks per set (39.1). Jacki Alanis is the team leader with 10.04 attacks per set, which ranks fifth in the LSC and 52
nd nationally.

th nationally. She has posted at least 30 digs in three matches this season.
LOOKING AT TAMIU
- The Lady Chaps are a perfect 16-0 against the Dustdevils all-time. Eleven (12) of the 16 victories have come in 3-0 sweeps for LCU (seven of last eight and four straight meetings).
- TAMIU dropped their last match (3-0 loss at Dallas Baptist) and will take a 14-5 record into Friday's match against Eastern New Mexico before hosting LCU Saturday (they are 2-0 in home matches this season). The Dustdevils have a 5-1 mark in Lone Star Conference, which has them in third place in the standings. The Lone Star Conference Preseason Poll slated TAMIU 14
th after a 4-20 record last season (4-13 in the LSC).
- The Dustdevils rank 38
th nationally in kills (13.24) and assists per set (38), ranking third in the LSC in each category. Mackenzie Catalina (3.9, third in the LSC) and Megan Menchaca (3.5, fifth in the LSC) each rank in the top-five in kills per set in the LSC. Emma Lade leads the LSC and is 10
th nationally with a pace of 11.03 assists per set.

LADY CHAP NOTES
- LCU is 9-12 on the season (5-5 in conference and in eighth place in the standings) and coming off a 3-0 road win at UT Permian Basin Saturday in Odessa, Texas. Sticking to record trends, LCU is 7-0 when either leading in kills and 2-12 when trailing in the category. - Lubbock Christian had five solo blocks on Sept. 23 against DBU. They have posted at least five solo blocks in a match three times this season, which is the most in a single season since 2019. The Lady Chaps rank ninth in LSC matches with 2.0 blocks per set.
