LOOKING AT ENMU
- LCU and Eastern New Mexico are meeting for the 64th time all-time (fourth meeting as conference opponents). ENMU leads the all-time series with a 33-30 mark. LCU won the previous meeting 3-1 on Nov. 5, 2021 (in Lubbock) and has claimed the four prior meetings and all by a 3-1 final (LCU has won six of the last seven encounters). LCU is 9-18 all-time in Portales. The Lady Chaps won the previous meeting in Portales (3-1) on Sept. 20, 2019.

- ENMU, preseason picked 13th in the LSC, has a 13-13 record on the season and are 4-10 in LSC contests. They are in a tie for 14th place in the conference standings. The Greyhounds, eliminated from LSC Championship contention, are 7-4 in home matches and have won their prior two contests at home.

- The 'Hounds rank 16th nationally and third in the LSC in total team blocks (213), ranking eighth in the LSC with a pace of 2.11 per set. Despite ENMU ranking 16th nationally (in total blocks), their top individual in team blocks (Gracelyn Stubbs) ranks 10th in the LSC in total blocks (82).

- ENMU has held their opponents to a .142 hitting percentage (ranks second in the LSC), but in three of the past four matches, their opponents have posted the top three hitting marks by an opposition. All three have been above .250.

- Getsemani Carrasco leads ENMU in digs with 425, which ranks fourth in the conference and 43rd nationally. She averaged 4.25 digs per set, which is 10th in the conference.

LOOKING AT WNMU
- LCU and Western New Mexico are meeting for the 14th time all-time, marking the fourth meeting as conference foes. LCU has won the prior five meetings, which have been since 1996 (last four meetings have been since 2009). WNMU leads the all-time series with a 7-6 mark (the series goes back to 1986). LCU is 1-2 all-time in Lubbock against WNMU, winning their previous meeting in Lubbock 3-1 (Sept. 27, 2019).

- WNMU is preseason picked to finish 16th in the Lone Star Conference. Coming off a 4-22 season in 2021 (3-14 in LSC play), they are 3-23 this season, with a 1-13 conference record, which has them in 16th in the LSC. WNMU is 0-8 this season in road play and they are riding a 16-game losing streak in road contests carrying over from last season. Prior to coming to Lubbock Saturday, they stop off in Portales, N.M. Friday to face Eastern New Mexico.

- Jazmyne Walker is the Mustangs lone player in the top-five of a statistical category in the LSC, as she is fourth in attacks per set at a rate of 10.4 per set, which ranks 37th nationally.

- The mustangs average 1.35 aces per set and have had at least three matches with at least 10 aces this season. On Sept. 14, WNMU posted 12 aces against Angelo State. Madelynn Culp leads the team with 26 aces. She had at least one ace in 10 of the first 11 matches to open the season.

- Walker is the Mustangs leader in conference play, averaging 3.02 kills and 3.46 points per set. Bria Augustine has received much of the recent work, posting at least 10 kills in her last three matches played.

Heading into the week, LCU opponents have calculated a win percentage of 55.8%, which also ranks second among LSC programs behind Dallas Baptist (56.2%, ranking 38th nationally).

She has posted at least seven blocks in a match four times this season, with a high of 8.0 on Sept. 3 vs. UCCS.

- Lubbock Christian had eight solo blocks on Oct. 15 at Texas A&M International, which is the most on record (in program history) since rally scoring started in 2001. They have posted at least five solo blocks in a match four times this season, which is the most in a single season since 2019. The Lady Chaps rank 11th in LSC matches with 1.91 blocks per set. Kalli Dalland (0.93, eighth) and Sage Chain (.90, 13th) rank in the top-15 in the LSC in blocks per set in conference matches.
