LEADING OFF
It's Senior day for the Lubbock Christian University baseball team, and the Chaps have a chance to sweep UT Permian Basin and win their sixth-straight game to close out the regular season home slate. Prior to the start of Sunday's game (at 12:45 p.m.) LCU will honor 14 graduating players before the teams take the field in the finale of a series that the Chaps have already won. It's been the offense that has impressed through the first three games with 51 runs scored by Lubbock Christian through the first three games of the weekend, and they will try and stay hot at the plate in the final regular season game at Hays Field.

STARTING PITCHING MATCHUP
LCU – Coming off one of his best starts of the season, Ty Stephenson will go the mound for the Chaparrals in the series finale. Last week against Cameron, the senior tossed five shutout innings, allowing just four hits in that time while striking out three batters. Overall, Stephenson has an ERA of 5.91 on the year in 42.2 innings of work. He has allowed 28 earned runs on 54 hits and 20 walks while striking out 29. Opponents are batting .303 against him. Stephenson is in his third year with the Chaps and will be making his 21st career start. In his career he has an ERA of 5.05 in 103.1 innings of work.

UTPB – Trever Berg is slated to get the start in game four of the series for the Falcons. He has an ERA of 9.06 in 49.2 innings of work this season, but his two wins on the mound are tied for most on the team. Berg has allowed a team-high 82 hits, 20 of which have gone for doubles. Opponents are batting .369 against him and he has walked 24 while striking out 40. Berg was solid in his last start against the Rattlers, allowing just four runs on nine hits with five strikeouts in 6.1 innings of work.
